Hello,
I need an acorn nut and metal backing from a B8 seat strap, for a very nice all original Omega Special Sport
I recently purchased. The engine no. is 0064 if, anyone has an idea what year this might be.

Thank You

I think the Ken-Kay's were some of the first to arrive here. Look at the rim codes, should say Takasago with some other letters and numbers. The ones you are looking for are a number and capitol letter, like 4E or 5B or such. That will tell you the year the bike was assembled if the rims haven't been changed out. I restored one and if you aren't going for a perfect restoration you can go to the hardware store and get two acorn nuts and carriage bolts that fit and use them, no one will know but you. ;) Once in a while on ebay there is an assorted used(very used)hardware assortment from a B8 for sale. If I had an extra I would give it to you.

When you go to the hardware store for the acorn nuts, might want to take the seat with you as well for test fit, as some of the very earliest Kawasaki's used different thread pitches for some of their fasteners.
