Didn't this guy ban people who were trying to buy parts off him - caused a lot of angst a few years ago....... (I like stories like this!!)

Yep, he banned a large number of us off this board, even I won an item off him, he never sent it and just blocked me from any future bidding . . . . From a man who I had been supplying information to for many years so that he could keep his club newsletter going

I built my whole yellow 69 H1 from Fran's newsletter. I'd call all over the country, from a work phone of course, and then would mail out a check.

Each purchase took two months minimum.

Well I didn't know about Fran's past before I met him this past Saturday. I do remember several members here having trouble with a ebay seller,
but didn't make the connection. He's 75, kind of hard of hearing, and treated me like a fellow triple fan.

I was banned years ago but never understood why.
I think I did buy something from him later (post ban).
