After our rally this weekend, there's a kind of letdown (I'm sure Gap attendees can relate).
I spent yesterday afternoon cleaning off the oil and dirt, and felt better.

Seems like there's plenty to be miserable about lately. Everybody has their load to bear, some worse than others. No money, work stinks, family issues, health issues, miserable weather or just generally unappreciated etc etc.... But for me anyway, in the shop tinkering on some part or other.... even if you're too broke to actually build anything substantial, there's always something to clean or repair or maybe a leak to fix...whatever... and for an hour or so all is right with the world. It's cheap therapy and healthier than booze, drugs or being a couch potato. Sometimes I swear I might go mad without it... |

lol! I was already clean at that point, but yes, the bike needed a little attention. I didn't ask to use the shower at out meet, (didn't want to impose too much) and I don't think Don would've appreciated me being neked and using bodywash in his above ground pool.

saw this thread, agreed, went out on a quick spin and got my bike a full tank of 99 octane gas and came back with a smile! |

Yep good therapy for sure only thing better than working on the triple is riding it hopefully the maiden run will be soon

I worked on the HD a little today - waiting for some bearing pullers to arrive. Worked on an old crunched H2 speedo a bit. Took the DT400 out for a spin this afternoon and popped a few wheelies - always good to calm the nerves

It's cold and miserable down here (shortest day of the year) and the roads are munted from earthquakes, but I can still start the H1A up in the garage and smell the fumes
