Hello, on my '73 H2 the engine side covers, and rear brake backing plate and the sprocket mount need attention from over the years abuse of salt,sun,ect... , My question is should these parts be polished, or natural aluminun color? I see them both ways. I do powder coating and could do that as well. Just wondering! Thanks for any help with the aluminum parts color guide. :)

Original covers were buffed with a clearcoat applied.
Highly polished covers are all owner finished. Once polished they are pretty easy to keep looking that way.

I have had great luck polishing them and then applying Never Dull, I did a set 5 years ago and they still look great. :D Only time will tell if it holds it shine.
