I decided to go with Modern tires afterall. I intend to ride the H1 more while I do some planned updates to the RD-350 so a nice set of modern tires will give me some good handling on my expected rides.
I purchased a set of AVON tires and had them mounted by a local shop. I am basically pleased although I do think there was a mistake or two along the way. I'll talk about that is anyone is interested in hearing/discussing.
The Avons look great on my H1F and they handle real nice. I was tempted by some other tire choices but many here have gone with BT45s and others asked about Avons so I thought I could provide some input on the subject and I liked the looks of the tires. From what I read elsewhere and other bikes the Avons are good performers.
So since visuals are nice

I have updated my website with some pictures that were taken shortly after installing the tires.
I finally have my H1 well on the way to where I have wanted it to be for a long time. Just to pre-answer some questions you might have when looking at the pictures;
Pre-Answers
1) The chambers are Denco originals and yes that is a functing currently unaltered Main Stand. (you gotta love that)
2) The velocity stacks are filtered (my revised method) and they work great, bike is smooth thru the RPM guage.
3) The Tank and body work is all NOS.
4) The tires work great, very smooth and handling good.
Have a look for yourself. Click on the photo of My H1 and you will see the updated pictures (first 5). Keep in mind that my site is a free host and sometimes there are problems reaching from work and foreign locations (sorry for that).
