Kaw triples are really hard to find over here.

There's a S2 for sale and as all the triple stuff I have found here it looks like junk, but for only the equivalent of US $ 900.00 I thought it would be another interesting project to start with.

Any opinions? Is it to hard to find parts for this model? Does it look like it still has some original parts worth the trouble!

Thanks,

Carlos

Go for it, Carlos. You'll always find parts.

Thanks Stäle and Moo; did 72's S2s have a front disk brake like this one? It is missing the caliper. I asked the seller for more pics and as I get them I'll post it.

'72's had a drum brake. S2A was disc.
I'd like to see a pic of the other side... is that a 3 into 1 exhaust?

I'm waiting the seller send more pics, but he states the bike is a 72, Most Kaw and Suzi triple owners here had the sh-it 3 into one "solution" for their triples when they found no more options for replacement of OEM exhausts..

Yes, it looks like a '72.... except the forks & wheel.

Looks like 2 more S2's in the background...one with the correct front end.

The 3 into 1 is the only thing that I didn't like. Looks decent otherwise.

Maybe Jim or Walms have S2 pipes(kits)

Considering the scarcity in your "part of town", it appears worth the $. 72 has welded LH grab bar - 73 has bolt-on. Judging by the points cover, it's likely a 4-bearing crank. Also, tank has incorrect diaphragm petcock.

Note: there is currently an eBay seller, boucher127, who has just begun listing 72 parts listed as 73, and some are priced relatively reasonable.
