I wanted to get hold of some info off the old site that I had put there and I can no longer access anything..... no matter what I do it wont log me in. Does this mean I am persona non gratis or what? Has anyone else had this happen? I know my login details are correct even though it tells me they arent.

Join the club - you didn't have to do much wrong!! I abandoned that site, but I'm sure some of the more computer - savvy guys can help you retrieve info. from there.

Funny, there is one topic poster there chiding all of us for "leaving Tom in the lurch". Oh, lament for misguided souls that still think that site is relevant, it ain't, no mo!

Don't feel bad that you have to re-regisgter, I can't even do that there, and Tom refuses to take my name of the moderator masthead.

I just logged in successfully. I am not on anyone's radar there so I haven't been ousted. This is the first time I have logged on there in months. I have no use for that site. I am sure that people are still attracted since they once had great members and data to share. When the person who owns the site started putting up spam posts on his own forum, I was done there for good. Too bad.

If I can look anything up for any of you here, please PM me.

well...my MAJOR infraction there was complaining about the PORN that was being allowed to be spammed on the site...
after a few complaints...your account has been deleted by the moderator....

but everybody came here..... funny too - him having his banned moderators still listed...

There are some few that still go there. A small few of them are really trying to make it better over there, but I figure it is more than a serious lost cause now. There is one spam ad that has been up for a few days now, nobody there to moderate it, and the spammer poster away.

Too bad, it was, and will remain a site that has a lot of good info archived, from the years of excellent members posting all that great info. So sad it ended up the way it is now, but, this site is already leaps and bounds better all the way around, even with the disagreements and other small issues we are all working to resolve positively. Those types of disputes never did get resolved positively over there.

Between RB's, the Canadian, and Brad's sites, and, this one, all that info is still out there, and accessible, no worries. Just might take a different path to get to it, but, all that info eventually comes out in the wash.

To the members that still have access there, you might think of yourself as a conduit, a quiet one, for info retrieval/storage. Maybe a file could be started to hold that info, archive it, for everyone to access. Might be something to think about.

Its a shame,we got a lot of good years out of that board and it was pretty active,maybe better in a way than splitting all the triple sites like we have now !!!!! For some reason Tom wanted to kill it and I still wonder why ???????
