Howdy!! Thinking about changing fuel lines on my H1-A. McMaster has "buna-n (nitrile) rubber/pvc that is good for up to 15% ethanol .3/16 i.d. Thoughts? Also, what clamps,if any, are you using? I should probably get stat-o-seals while i`m at it. What size, or better yet, part number should I get? Thanks for all the help, and GREAT site !!

Here's a recent thread on fuel lines: http://www.kawi2strokes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2414

Most guys don't use clamps with 3/16" ID tubing.

McMaster-Carr also has Parker Stat-O-Seals in metric sizes. The oil line banjo bolts are 6mm at the pump.

What size are the ones at the check valve end? 2 different sizes right? McMaster has 10, 12, 14, 16mm.

Never used them on the case bolts, they are pretty big and can take the torque.

I don't have any off to measure, sorry. I wouldn't mind using Stat-O-Seals there myself, although John's right about that not normally being a joint that leaks.

I have re-used the big washers with no leaks or problems also but thought it may be a good idea to put fresh ones in there this time so why not Stat-O-Seals there too? Reproduction Decals sells the complete set of aluminum washers but not individuals. I may just pick up a set, for $14 I get all, it's less than stat-O-seals for the big end.
BTW, Reproduction Decals sells a set of 10 6mm Stat-O-Seals for $11, McMaster wants $14.80 for 10! Not the norm for McMaster to cost more but pay attention on this one!

Thanks for the replies. I guess I should use the search before asking for info. Can`t think of anything else to order from McMaster.

They are for low torque aplications, all you end up doing on larger stuff is squishing the metal cover. Of course they can be used, I just like the AL washers better for the big stuff.

The delivered price will probably swing the other way for US customers. MSC also has them, but I haven't checked the price lately.
