HAHA....funny, Dave is one of my buddies. I actually was there with him on the second trip up...think I posted a bit about it on the old forum. I still have some of the bikes I found, even a few triples....paid $50 a piece for them. What I want to know is how you came across his page? ![]() |

When I see and read about such things it makes me just want to get them/save them all. I know everyone here has a passion for old motorcycles. |

when I visit a motorcycle bone yard or see pics like these, I remember that every single one of those bikes currently rotting away was once the brand new pride and joy of someone. All in perfect, mint condition, rolling out of the dealership parking lot with a huge smile on the owners' face. |

Here is a very similer story About two years ago went to look at a 74 Z1 not far from me ,Joliet Il. I was in shock when arrived. The building was a three story warehouse, freight elevator loading dock right of the river, Place was huge. It was filled with old motorcycles. Outside there were semi trailers filled with bike parts eyt.. It was unbelivable. I never made a deal on anything, the owners wanted big big dollars On the third floor there were prolly five thousand boxes of n.o.s items . seats, exhaust Old HD knucklehead motors a coool old ossa racer This place was a gold mine. I heard a story about a auction there, lawsuits tied up in the courts. Not properly advertising the auction etc,. I think it got messy. At the time I think owners mother told me $350K for the building and everything in it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
