Hi all, The old books are giving me some conflicting info in regards to setting bore clearances on an over bore for my 350 s2. Pistons are cast Kawi NOS. Any suggestions? Thanks |

thats what i have my 350 set at the 250 is even tighter .00047 to.00079" |

This is great stuff and Thanks guys! ! Last year I put .001" clearance into the tiny 45mm S1 bores -- it ran nice and quie and happily tolerated regular floggings w/o ever squeeking. Also,.. last year, I got into a somewhat heater discussion w my boring guy about where the piston should be measured. Does the Kawi bible refer to this as well? |

It does, but I'd have to look it up (How far up from the bottom). Actually, I feel better about running .002" on my big H2 pistons, now, but I guess you can learn something every day! It will still rattle tho! (H2 that is!)

.0015 inch for stock cast pistons (one and a half thousandths). |
