Well I worked all night and got the day off. Sleep being over rated, I took of on the h2 to silverado canyon here in sunny so cal for some coffee and tortilla soup. The bike ran super, almost too super as I over did it once and it surprise drifted on me. ( too much throttle). So anyway she was spewing some oil out around the chambers and upon closer inspection it appears it has doubled up base gaskets. Is this a hokey attempt to lower the compression?

Chambers always spew, it just depend on how much. And it can be crude compression reduction, or, some cylinders are impossible to get off the gasket surfaces get chewed up, the double gasket may seal that off.

Love that Silverado Canyon....Cooks Corner! My buddy lives in Orange....so I get to haul that road every few yrs! Always wanted to trailer my H2 there for a coastal ride....but take the Harleys instead....Now my kh and H2 are both in pieces ready for complete rebuilds. :problem: I saw you just got your H2? Congrats....

I hope to meet some of the local "hooligans" at the thursday bike night on katella here in orange. Look me up when you head out here. Guaranteed at least one of my bikes will be ready to go!

Maybe there's some 2 stroke or triple club info posted at Cook's corner? I'm certain there's somebody near your area who rides triples.
Some day soon (hopefully) I'll have one back on the road! Not sure when I'll get over there from Phx....?
I saw pic of your new ride...looks great!

A hack I did when I was about 14... I took the head gasket out and added a spacer the same thickness under the barrel and just used aluminum paint to seal the head. Worked great! But unfortunately nothing noticed on the butt dyno...

My 2 buddies in Orange are Harley riders.....and Not wrenchers....I assure you that can drink beer though! Always good to have a neighbor that knows how to tune triples...I have not ran into another triplar in Phx in my 25 yrs here!
