I have Imported (3) bikes from out of the Country 4th is coming. All bikes needed an Import Agent, and the DOT & EPA forms submitted. Each bike got the 7501 Customs Import sheet filled out that needs to be given to DMV Each bike had to go the the FLHSMV for them to verify the VIN number First, from Vancouver BC. Seller was great, gave me bill of sale, and filled out the registration transfer They have no title there. Shipping company brought to my work. VIN checked out, then went to DMV Second from Italy Seller took bike to crating company. Freight company picked it up there. Went over sea. Had to drive to Miami to pick it up. I had to get the Italian Title translated into English Then for VIN verification. I had to get seller to sign a special Bill Of Sale Form, He did over email Then to DMV Third from UK I used same freight company as Italian. I picked an Import agent this time, as the previous one was not too good They had me email DOT & EPA to get permission = Even tho the form said the bike was exempt. Bike came into NY port, but freight contract had them bring to Tampa, so 30 min drive to pickup. This bike came from a Dealer, so there was the BOS, and a UK Registration document. No Title All was in English. So VIN verify & on to DMV Fourth is on its way from Candiac Canada. I may be able to answer any questions. M |
