Hi all, long time lurker here, I'm hoping somebody can help me, I'm buying a 400 and asked the seller to send me a picture of the frame and engine numbers, the engine number looks fine but the frame number is S3F- 38 something, looking at the stuff I can find online it appears that maybe there should be a 0 before the 3, is that correct? the bike has recently been imported into the UK so the authorities here accepted it but if its incorrect that kills any future re-sale. All help welcome. Phil |

I don't know the answer, others will, but here are three examples of one S3, and two 250's, 1974 and 1976 model years, and w/o a leading "0": |
