I've never heard of them. Give them a try and tell us what you think.

Never heard of them either. I’m about to try some NGK Iridium plugs Based on recommendation on my Suz Water Buffalo.

While on the subject of plugs, I just got some NGK BU8H's which are a heat-range specific surface-gap plug, just like the old days. Maybe some of the outboard-motor guys have had some experience with these, they are new to me! Recommended by Nev. Lush, so I'll be using them!

I tried some of the surface gap plugs, could tell no difference. Nev did say there was a bit more hp on the dyno, but nothing one could feel.

I tried the surface gap plugs on my H1 years ago, I got slight detonation with them, figured it was because of the larger gap, not sure.

Yes, I used them when I had an outboard, I think it was my Mercury 200 [or my Johnson 235?]
I miss those old Checkmate boats, I had two, they literally flew!

Never thought of using surface gap plugs in my H's...
