I had my 73 RD350 on display with a for sale sign on it at the Barbers Vintage Weekend in October. I didn't get any offers. When I started it to ride it to my trailer I noticed it was acting like it was running out of gas as I warmed it up. Luckily it was downhill to the trailer as the bike finally died on me. At the trailer I noticed it didn't have electrical power. I didn't worry about it but did need help pushing it up the trailer ramp. Back home I pulled the battery and put the bike away as I planned to trouble shoot it after my deer hunting season. Well I tagged out last week and today it was pretty warm so I put in a battery back in and started it up. I noticed right away the neutral light didn't brighten up with an increase of rpms so i got my volt meter out to check the charging circuit and noticed this modification right away. I'm sure it had to be one of you guys :e4 :e13

It doesn't look like the red connector was crimped well, wire could it have simply come out of it?

The jokester put the connector on so the male end wouldn't short out after he/she pulled the wire from the regulator that goes to the battery. That connector has never been crimped.

That being the case, it isn't any sort of joke, that's for sure.

Definitely not Shane or I John. That’s not cool at all as many practical jokes are just mean.

That is mean. I hold motorcycle people to a higher standard than that.

Practical jokes are just getting a laugh at someone else expense. Pathetic.
