Hey Guys. Monday I should be receiving my new chambers from Paul Gast. I like the unfinished look that a lot of y'all seem to be running these days, and have searched (as best as I can) the old topics for info. on how to keep them looking new (rust free), but no luck. I thought a "Clear coat" powder coat was going to be the answer, but It appears that's not acceptable for the high heat the chambers experience. Ceramic coatings don't seem to come in "Clear". Any input on how to keep that raw look?? Thanks in advance. |

You can apply a few coats of the crappy floor polish Mop'n'glo Yup, for real - it works. |

I've used Mop and Glo for years. If you re-coat it once or twice a year it'll work very well. I started with about five coats, since it dries quickly and is easy to reapply with a soaked paper towel. I don't think I touched them for at least a year. |

 Ok, I read the first reply, and couldn't stop laughing. I thought, Man, the sh*t you read on the internet! Then, two more that agree! So, I'm kinda gullible, I guess I'll give it a try. (With a fire extinguisher close by) I'd'a NEVER thought this would be possible. Can't believe the heat wouldn't burn it off, or catch it on fire. NOW, I'm still laughing, wondering what-in-the-heck would have inspired the first dude to try this. lol |

I've never tried Mop n Glo because I figured it wouldn't hold up as well in Hawaii's environment (humid and near the ocean). I use VHT flame-proof clear paint and it works very well on my K2tek chambers. When rust shows up, I lightly sand the the metal to get it clean then spray the VHT in several coats. A few touch ups per year keep the chambers looking good. |

I go a different way, I build my pipes out of stainless steel, no issues with it. Just my preference. |
