I know the part number is not the same but I was wandering
If a set of brake shoes for a 1969 h1 might fit
A 1973 h1 hub?

I'd have to look through my parts bin but it seems like they were different by the way they were mounted.

Your probably right, I’m putting a 73 h1 hub on a road race frame and would like to use a rear brake
cable instead of a rod. Maybe I just need to buy a 1969 rear brake, thanks for your help

It's easy to fit a cable instead of a rod on a later H1 rear drum brake
