Wow, what a weekend!!! Difficult to know where to start…
I had a great time driving down there with Steve (III), we never ran out of things to talk about and III seemed to be able to handle my road rage on the way home as well… he even joined in a bit!
Some of the highlights of the weekend for me were riding Henry’s, Cody’s and Uncle Gary’s bikes. Chasing RB down on the twisties, mixing it up with Cody on his 500 and of course all the antics that went on back at RB’s house whether it was on the oval, in the pits or around the campfire!!! We made fun of ourselves and everyone else all weekend! What a fricken hoot!!
I was fortunate enough to get to test pilot Henry’s case reeded H2… What can be said other than you want to have all your faculties present when you twist the grip on this monster! The throttle response was insane! Cody was the first to ride it and from seeing him visibly shaking from the adrenaline buzz, plus he gaving me the warning to keep my foot hovering over the rear brake got my attention.
Being a bit conservative, (Cody had another name for it…

) I cruised out in 1st, short shifted into 2nd and with my nuts on the tank, poured the beans to her, instantly lofting front tire for about 30 ft! Unfortunately at 6k I heard the deto come on pretty strong and had to shut her down… It was hard to believe how quick this thing is while off the pipe, maybe I’m lucky, the deto might have saved my bacon!!!

All around amazing bike that Henry built!!! BTW Henry, for future reference, deto sounds very similar to carbon fiber being slapped against pavement… Tick Tick Tick.

Cody’s bike is so fricken clean and well thought out right down to the last little detail and pulls strong very linearly all the way up from 5k to the redline! Trust me, the linear comment is not negative one!
The next ride was Uncle Gary’s Ninja 666… The number has nothing to do with the displacement of the motor, just so you know.let me tell you! I’m sure I had it going too frickin fast, I did a TON on Cody’s bike, it felt like I did a ton and a half on the demon seed! Engine braking was my friend here! Lol
The rides were a perfect combination of excellent twisty roads, little traffic and 12 other nutters to share the experience with!
The boyz from Minnesota did their magic, bringing the Frankenstein contraptions to life well enough that we had many hours of fun riding them around the oval! We all owe them a thanks for their efforts.
Saturday night we had all of them going for the parade laps… I ended up riding bitch on Winks old chopper with Zambia, no crashes but I almost broke my little buddy's hip in the process! No worries, he’ll be fine!
The best of the weekend was the hospitality Lisa and Rick gave us! Second to none!
Thanks again for having us Rick, see you next year!!!!
