I'd much prefer the '72 seat/tail combo over the '73. Im not opposed to moving frame tabs around to accomodate, but the tricky ($) part is finding a solid '72 seat and tail.

The side covers match as well.

I purchased this bike from a guy who was a miserable mechanic but did a lot of custom paint work on cars and bikes. I have been told that the effect is created by putting down a base color and then laying on a darker color and dragging cellophane over the surface to get the swirl while it is still wet. Not a good explanation but that is all I know.

I plan on leaving that paint on there when I get the bike done. I will repaint it after a season of riding to proper stock color with decals.

Custom paint effects are not my thing.

Here's my collection sans parts bikes. The 66 305 scrambler was from My father in law for my six year old. I will restore someday. The IT 175 is street legal and a DG works replica and a favorite of mine. The 79 vespa is a ball, majorly modded but looks stock. The RD is a runner and it's on the waiting list. Once I bought the 750 I've been focused on it. Hope that wasn't too boring :D Image
