Blade switch, HA! McGuyger would just twist the wires together! :e11
It always amuses me when in TV and movies, they hotwire a car by striking two wires together (to crank it over) then twist the same wires together once it starts! :banghead

you know what Jim?, you're right.

eliminating that wire alone is going to save at least .5 ounces.

thanks for the tip!

nutha question!

On a bone stock H1e/f/kh iggy system....when you turn the Ignition Switch to "ON", does it OPEN the connection between the ground wire (black/yellow stripe) and the Ignition wire (black/white stripe) or does it GROUND the connection?

Meaning, if I just run a kill switch (or horn button  ), I'll just wire the black/white-stripe and black/yellow stripe wire to it correct????

Turning the ignition ON ungrounds the black/white wire, like on an H2. The kill switch should ground the wire to kill the engine.

The ground wire with the ring terminal from each of the two units should be connected to the frame at all times. The late H1 units I have here do not have a black wire with a yellow stripe. The ground wire is just black.

It would just be so badd a$$ to slide to a stop with a ciggy dangling from your lips, white t-shirt, no helmet; and then pitch the bike to the ground as you walk in the beer store.
(got to save at least 1 lb without the kick stand!)
Maybe you should put an H2 engine in that frame; we know you've thought about it...

the first few sentences just perfectly described my father....cept he was never a bike guy. It would have been a '59 Impalla SS...

and no on the H2 engine..has to be H1. You'll see "why" when Im finished. 8-)
