Did you get Neils email address I sent Gerald?
You can also email pics to me and I can host them for you.

You can just upload them here directly from your computer!

I didn't get the pics, but the serial numbers are:

350 cc...…..engine S2E 36xxx
frame S2T 07xxx

500cc...…...engine KAE 04xxx
frame KAF 04xxx...…..do these numbers seem like very low ones?

from what I have been able to find out so far, i'm pretty sure the 350 is a 1973, and the 500 is a 1969.

judging by some of the comments I've received/read/researched, it seems like the 500 is (stolen from another message), 'the holy grail' of Kawasaki triples.
the 350 is not as desirable, i'm told, but still not a dog.

pics later.

Yes, early H1s are arguably the most desirable triple. Value ranges from very little to $15,000 or so, depending on condition. It takes at least $15,000 and a monumental amount of knowledge, skill, and patience to restore a rust bucket H1 to the condition that will bring $15,000.

If original, the paint color will tell you what year the S2 is
Blue or orange were 1973 S2A colors. Red was the 72 S2

yes, the s2 will be a '73. it's orange. some idiot with gold paint got after the 500, so can't rely on the colour to help there. but i'm convinced it's a '69 after speaking to several people and looking around on the net.

15,000 to restore!! holy smokes! the engine isn't stuck and all the bits (well MOST) are there. maybe I could just touch it up with another can of spray paint!

But you could probably spend $5,000 to make it an $8,000 bike. Jim was saying that to make it absolutely stunning it would take that much. Sort of do need to be able to hose it with some cash though or it will sit and never get finished.

It's understood that the 69's VIN range went up to somewhere in the KAF-06xxx range, so yours is somewhere north of mid-point.
