I found this locally on Craigslist and could not bear to let it go by.

The seller is another absolute character, way too many bikes and had a shop to die for, mills, lathes, 2 sandblasters, 3 motorcycle lifts....

He had bought this to fix up for his wife and 6 years later did not make any progress.

The original owner had a motorcycle death in the family and just parked it.

It has 9K on it and the carbs are stick, the tank is gummy inside and the motor kicks over and feels like it has good compression. It even has a title!!

I need another project like a hole-in-the-head but looks like next winter is gonna be another busy one.

I will know a lot more about S2s I guess.

Any general 350 thoughts? What does one do to make them the best runner they can be?

Joe Byrd

Clean it up and put gas in it!
Many times it is found that the #25 pilots are one size too large.

i just rode mine.
few things..
Check the engine number... see if its a 4 or 6 bearing crank. thats all on mraxles page
if its going to remain stock, just tune it and go.

if not, well, i have LOTS to say about performance mods. A well sorted S2 can eat up a stockish H1 w chambers.

That's a very nice find Joe - original and complete. Do a full resto, or do just the mechanicals, polish it up, and ride as is.
