Hey All,

Back to Kawasaki triples after a sabbatical playing with Brit bikes.

I've been hunting for a '69 or '70 project bike, but even the one rusting away in my neighbor’s bushes isn’t for sale. So, being a working man with no retirement plan and questionable logic, I picked up a couple of haggard project bikes instead.

I was hoping someone here could tell me if a 1969 tank and seat will fit over the frame of a '72 H1 or a '75 H2. I’ve got both to choose from, and both are basket cases with no bodywork to speak of.

I do have the '69 steel oil tank and a few brackets, so I think it’ll fit up nicely. I'm not afraid of making mounts or doing some frame mods—these bikes were left for dead, and I’ve got the motivation to bring them back to life.

I think it would be pretty neat to have a '75 H2 that looks like a '69 H1—with a couple of front discs thrown in, since I’ve got those too.

Thanks in advance for any insight or advice you can offer—I really appreciate the help!

Here is a drive by of a White '69 H1 left for dead and NOT for sale.

Tank and seat will probably work on '72 H1 frame.... but not H2.

Such a shame to have it sit as yard art!
