Hello all, I have had my spec 2 chambers powder coated years ago and of course it failed. Looking to refinish the pipes. I also would like to have at least a satin or gloss finish. Appears any paint that is satin the range is approx 1200 degrees. I see the VHT is higher but flat in color. Anyone have any luck with paint? Suggestions please. Thanks in advance. Iron on the Bayou

I would think 1200 deg paint would be ok. I have used 1200deg paint without any problems... can't remember brand.

Ex spray painter here, do the first 30cm/12" in a heat proof paint, but the rest will work with any paint really. Typically a Rustoleum satin black primer/paint aerosol will do the job. They don't get that hot back there.

Best crap I have used is high heat powder coating. Used BBQ spray paint but it requires constant touch ups. VHT high heat spray paint is garbage.
