The problem is getting ahold of the owner of the domain. And if a predatory buyer already bought the domain name, he might want a lot of money when he sells it.

Yes we could use the Yamaha section of this site, but there is so much accumulated information on the 2strokeworld website. If all that info was on this site, I think the Yamaha RD and RZ members might outnumber the Kawasaki members.

AS AN fyi, I HAVE A 3RD PARTY NEGOTIATING BUYING THE OLD DOMAIN and server files, nothing but crickets so far. That's been going on for months, and is still pending, as in i have money laid out for the service so i'm serious about it. However, the new site seems to be moving along nicely. I view it as a sister site to this one in a lot of ways, but def more RD leaning.. and we get soem really bizzare qs on oddball 2 strokes, mowers, weed eaters, etc. As far as the original domain owner, i have reached out, nothing, and so have locals to him. He was active on his linked in, etc, not long ago, but its his choice to walk away. Would have been nice to actually have him just pass it on, but whatever. (sounds familiar).
So be it. Its a resource and a community, so it will live on it its new form. IF i ever decide to get out (don't see that), i'll pass it along, not just let it die.

2strokeworld.net is getting momentum, I think we might as well stick with what we have. Thanks for your help, Mark.

that's the plan. if i get the old site/domain/hosting (ie: data) i'll just redirect and /or move the info over to ".net", but the new one is here to stay.
