I have a early H1 frame 69-71, I've had for decades. There is not a vin tag or stamped vin number on the frame in the normal position. Not too familiar with early H1s. Could the vin tag been removed?

All frames are stamped on the headstock. Yours sounds like a replacement frame that was never used or stamped.

Google maps shows you 159 miles from me. I have a 71 H1 parts bike. It is missing some parts ( no top end, no front end, no seat. wiring harness hacked up, no instruments, no sidestand, no ignition switch , no headlight bucket)and not sure what else.... But the stamped frame is there. You can get a title through Vermont DMV as described elsewhere on the board. $300 as is. If you come pull all the pieces off of the frame in my shop you can have the bare frame for $175. I would rather you took it all. I don't have time to disasssemble it as we are busy with farm work. If interested PM me.

You can probably get a vin assigned at the state police. You can get one here. The vin won't be a stock number but it will have a vin fully titleable.

If you have paperwork to support a frame number , stamp it on
