Beer, ice and lawn chairs are always last to be packed so they are front and center when we get there...

Finished my first round of chemo.. don't feel too bad!!

Not sure how I'll feel on the weekend, but Deb and I are thinking of coming up for Saturday nite, Sunday brunch. Just bring the car, no bikes.

I'm the only one who hasn't missed the '50th birthday party' after all these years... gotta keep the record in tact!!

RB, I'll text ya for the condo info...

:)

That's great to hear that you are coming Gary, Ian and I were planning to pop in on our way down this afternoon to say hi... We still can, plenty of space if you guys want anything trailered to Rick's or a ride etc.

A quick update - 1.30am and most are by the fire pit (J.A. Is in bed as is Johnatkens), we have ALL survived to fight another day  Last night we did a late ride out, not a wise move, 65 degrees when we left and mid 50's when we got back C O L D - Especially riding without gloves! We all avoided the deer that nonchalantly wandered in front of us. Today we spend a while fixing up "toys" then went for a ride up the "Old Mission Peninsular" (after we all managed to find each other and re-group (It's a tourist Mecca here at the moment) - J.A. was somewhat stunned at how fast we all rode, he said that "if he was home in N.M. then we would all be in jail by now"
So, chill time, we got 3 of the H1 powered "carts" out on the track - MAYHEM! they are brutal on such a small track - Yet again Minnesota Mark in the "sliver Bullet ruled the roost! . . . Tomorrow will be another day! :P After that it was timed laps on a fixed speed small go cart - GOOD fun, it was all down to driver technique, we were all within a couple of seconds of each other - I was elated to have won1 - It may rain tomorrow and we will try again in the wet 8-)
.
Last off, we had 5 KV's out on the track, my first few laps were O.K. but the rear tyre was soggy, I swapped bikes and was stepping up the pace when the handlebars sheared off and I left the track into the field . . . . And ended up in a tree we just cut down for firewood! Time to call it all a day and sit by the fire pit . . . So, I had better go back out and join the guys
.
Photos to follow . . . Too late tonight and beer is getting warm! ;)

We finally had the big showdown - who would be "King Of The Hill?" J.A. was enthusiastic enough to help get stuff running :

Then came the BIG race (On a closed circuit of course  )

"King of the Hill" turned out to be "Kevin" a newcomer racing the "new addition" cart
