I thought the table cloth that was going to be the seat cover was a nice touch, then, I realized, it was only the seat foam.

Never thought about using a table cloth personally, but I'm sure it's been done

Personally I like either green frame combo like the new H2R, or a variation on your ideas but with black frame/pipes/wheels. But since this is turning out to be a wild custom, the first combo to me would be the most eye opening IMO. Keep up the great efforts!

I read that the stock Katana had a rake of 25° and a trail of 3.9 inches. If you didn't change the triple tree dimensions, reducing the rake would reduce trail. In the extreme, with the fork standing vertically, the tire contact point would be in front of the pivot axis, giving negative trail. So unless I'm missing some information, your trail is less than 3.9 inches by quite a bit.

Little details keep making me wonder if Ichiban Moto is involved in the project. Like on page 1 of this thread, about 1/2 way down, the photo showing the head welds and grinding. It looks like the head tube was ground through to the lower outer bearing race. Can that be serious?

Edit: I showed my wife this thread. She thinks we're all a bunch of saps falling for a troll thread.

One thing I know for sure every time I read this line I laugh out loud…. and necessarily because of this thread.

Here's the rake/trail numbers, laid out in solidworks.

Trail goes down to 2.9" from 3.9". Rake goes from 25.3 to 21

As I said earlier, absolutely terrified, and totally petrified, especially if I were being forced to ride that thing.

I'd have used one of those non-skid table cloths.

But if no one plans to actually ever ride it, then it's not dangerous, Dave.

I've already rode it, it rides great. Took my hands off the bars at 70+mph, no problems
