Post subject: | Racetech S3002 h2 with aluminum rods |
after reading the past posts on the Race Tech fork valves and springs i recently purchased, I have a few questions. 1. Drilled holes in aluminum rod w 10mm between O.D. of 3 sets of staggered holes, not 10mm CL to CL. Is it a structural mistake to drill in aluminum and are holes now too high? 2. What to do about 4-piece wafers with holes assembly; i am questioning their order/ direction as i lost original layout, and parts diagrams are poor. Also, it has been mentioned on this subject that they should be removed. What replaces them if removed? Thank you |

Thank you. Unsure about removing 4-piece holed assembly on rod shaft next to piston. That leaves11mm of open space; what to fill it with? I have Race Tech kit# S3002(their pick for H2's)springs and emulators & adapter w expanding ring for a snugger fit, w/ aluminum rods. Rods modified w 6 holes total, top rollpin modified for flow. |
