I'll take it for a longer ride and see if I get use to it. At least the bike looks better and not like a chopper. The seat height is much better for me too.
Here's two pictures of the difference . I could almost touch the ground with me knees it sat so low.

Ron I've had the 14.2 Hagons on mine for a few years and really like them.

I took the H2 out for a long ride on Sunday and starting to get use to the longer shocks. Pushed it pretty hard in the turns and I can almost
feel the swing arm flex. The arm that was on it and 1" longer felt very solid and no flex. May go back to the longer arm but keep the 14.2 shocks.

Not to doubt your riding expertise, but I'm wondering if you're just feeling the quicker handling. Try consciously relaxing your arms and keeping a light touch on the grips in the turns and see if that makes any difference. Ja-Moo was following me a couple years ago at the Gap meet, and noticed oscillations of the whole bike in turns. He told me to try to consciously keep a light touch on the bar, and to not stiffen my arms, and it really helped.

The longer shocks really made a difference to the stance of your H2, by the way. Huge improvement.

Yes Jim, the bike sits much better now. What I don't like is I can grab the rear wheel and make the swing arm flex near the axle. I used bronze
bushing and where it mounts to the frame doesn't flex. I doesn't flex much, maybe a couple of millimeters but maybe that's what I feel when
pushing hard in the corners.

Wow that's scary! Have you rechecked the torque on the axle nut?

Several years ago I mounted a Cal Fab swingarm on a KZ900. I was amazed at the improvement in stability and handling. The shocks were decent but the swingarm made a huge difference. I think your H2's handling will improve with the aftermarket swingarm.

Try flexing the swinger with the wheel removed. The rims flex a lot themselves.

'73, 14.2" Haggon, 18" front, forks flush with clamps. Handles great and no need for a steering damper. Be careful not to overtorque the shock bolts, causes binding and potential seeping of shock oil.

There's never a need for a steering damper... until there is. :)
