A bit more progress to report....and nearing the End of this project.
The chambers I am using for now are NOS (

) Protopipe Roadrace chambers. I intend to purchase a set of Walms' pipes, but time and $ just aren't allowing that right now....So I thought I would dress these up as much as possible.
Here's how I purchased them 10 years ago.

The chambers themselves are what they are, so I picked up some carbon fiber tubing, had some stinger tips welded on and rebuilt the silencers....much better!

I've been using "Metallic Black" corn-stove paint on my chambers for the last few years. Although it looks cool and is easily touched up, it isn't very fuel resistant.
So I did a little searching and found some high temp "Black Metallic" powdercoat and ordered a pound of it. Figured it was worth a shot, and if it sucked, I would just paint over it with the stove paint.
Just picked the pipes up today and I think it turned out pretty cool. It has more of a "texture" to it as opposed to the stove paint, but it seems waaay harder and more durable right off the bat.
Here's a pic.

And due to all of the blackness and dark-greyness, I had a few more parts Ti-Ni'd Gold for some contrast (axle adjuststers, etc). Its hard keeping it "subtle" when adding gold trinkets, but it needed something.
Once the pipes/silencers are finished up (still need to rivet everything together), there is just a bit of wiring to do, set the timing, and she'll be ready to fire up.

thats it for now....
