useing two bathroom scales one under each wheel.

I read once that you could get an accurate weight using one bathroom scale by putting the front wheel on first, taking the weight, then putting the rear wheel on and adding the 2 together. Can anybody confirm that this will work?

I bet it's extremely close, I have heard the same thing. You could easily check, with a block of wood the same height of the scale, with and without it.

That's the key. Use something to bring the non-weighed wheel to the same height as the weighed one. Otherwise, tilting the bike will shift a little weight away from the scale.

my wife wondered why I have TWO bathroom scales in the garage....at the same time having none in the house....

350 is excellent Henry. Im shooting for 330, but know that 340 is probably more realistic when all is said and done.

Haven't touched the project in almost 2 weeks. Up to my eyeballs in "home improvements". :banghead

You will be good Cody. I have had 750 at 153kgs with fuel tank full , but racer with no lights. Also had 530 chain and heavy H1 rear hub. ( had premix though :) :) )

Whelp... Its been about a month since Ive touched the hybrid project. My winter promise to my wife was that I would have the basement bath and laundryroom totally refreshed by the time the snow melted. Both of which should be finished in the next week. In any case, its all the down-hill/gravy work.
Sooooooo....Starting this week, I'm diving back in! A bunch of parts showed up in the last few weeks. Everything from tranny shims to crankshaft. The down time also allowed me to sit back and reassess a few early decisions. Sometimes you have to slow down and let it soak in, and Im glad I did as a few MAJOR changes were made which in turn really changed the entire "look/feel" of the project. I can now finally see the completed bike in my minds-eye.

A couple of "teaser" pics.......... 8-)
