Hi
I've just fitted a petcock rebuild kit in my 1972 H2. The fuel flows freely when I suck the vacuum tube attached to the tap, but when I connect it to the tube on the side of the carburettor it doesn't seem to have enough suck to operate the diaphragm so no fuel is getting into the float bowls. Any ideas how to fix this ? :banghead
Thanks

Do you have a way of measuring the vacuum at the carb. port you are using ? My experience is it takes very little vacuum to open the tap, perhaps you connected to a vent port or the port is plugged ?

Hi
Many thanks for your information, it made me think about the problem differently. The carburettors on my H2 are not standard, the port that I thought was the vacuum, as you pointed out, was indeed a vent. The carburettors on my bike do not have a vacuum port so I got over this by drilling and inserting a 4mm connector into the inlet manifold rubber. This seems to work a treat. :D
Many thanks
