The customer bike I'm working on has one of these, I had heard there were flow problems, so I had to check it out. I don't know what brand, and obviously have just tested this one. I would recommend testing yours out if you decide to use one. I personally wouldn't use one from this test.

I have that same petcock on my bike actually and one thing i did notice testing it is that the one outlet pointing down generally does roll all the flow out as the fuel passes straight down unless you restrict it somewhat, which is what the needle seat will do once the one carb fills up. Since the one is straight down and the other two outlets are level and up higher, the gas never really backs up far enough to flow out the other two with the one straight down disconnected. The flow on mine is much better than the one in your video though. Due to the size of the 30s, I had to cap that straight down hole off and use the other two, splitting one outlet for the left and center cylinder and it seems to supply plenty for 30s even with one outlet split. Looks like you may have a crappy one there though. :?

John,

Put an orifice the size of the float valve in each line and see what happens.

Already have a rebuilt stocker coming. Personally, I don't trust a valve that you have to diddle around with to get flow.

Anyone remember the page I wrote on the old site about my experience with that same petcock. I did not like it at all and advised others not to use. Oh well good vid, Moo. :D

Your old thread was the reason I was leery about these, and why I checked! Just adding to it............

Not defending this thing, but as I recall Reproduction decals issued a warning once NOT to operate the valve prior to having fuel in it. The reason being doing so will cause a possible leak due to tearing the sealing gasket (which can also get into the flow path).

In any case, it sounds like a valve to avoid...
