There is a small screen filter in the oil tank nipple on our triples. This can get gummed up, and or covered with pieces of the foil covers on oil bottles. This can stop or restrict oil flow, damaging or destroying your engine. Especially on bikes that have set for many years. Also be carfull tightening the plastic nipple as they crack very easily. |

Good tips Moo - especially for the FNG's just coming on board. I had a home-made "nipple" on my tank for years (after the original plastic one broke) - was a Rube Goldberg affair, then Jess started selling them - WITH a screen. Moo - you should post the pic's of your design - it's really slick compared to mine.
