Post subject:  Leaking fuel from Carbie

After a quick 25 minute ride, i noticed the middle carbie is leaking fuel. This happened to me before and was the float comign loose of its pins. Its seems like it happened again. Is there any way to stop the float from doing this? Petrol is just streaming out the overflow, and yes of course its the middle cylinder.

It's your float needle/seat. Make sure that your float doesn't have a pinhole leak. Make sure you don't have debris in your fuel lines. Get some Viton tipped needles. Checkthe float height. Relax.

Yep - needle and seat, either worn/too hard or debris.
I have a new one sitting around you could use til you can replace it if that's any help.

Thanks. I found some debris in the bottom of the carb, which I clean out at lunch time. I rode it home without anymore leaks, so i am guessing that was the problem. My new tank has arrived, but its a little rusty inside. Is putting in a fuel filter in each of the fuel lines are worthwhile thing to do ?
