First of all, they look awsome on your bike!!

Second: Based on what seems to be a short tuned length and a steep baffle cone, I believe they are kind of peaky pipes with great peak power, a very strong hit when reaching powerband, but weaker in mid range compared, to for example Denco and Higgspeed.

Cruising along at 4000rpm seems to have a special resonance that's like a dog whistle to everyone! Of course there's no power there, but if you pull the clutch and give it a couple quick revs in front of a Harley bar you'll see one of the old timers point and nod his head, and you know the stories he about to tell the un-knowing posers who thought it was awful big for a dirt bike... :wtf:

Thats interesting on the FBG pipes........10HP loss in the middle (not good as thats where you ride at on the street).........but they come on up high.........thats what I noticed on my bike.........up high it takes off like a bullet starting at about 5500 RPM and wants to rev to the moon

Just Stage 1 porting (widened exhaust, larger cutaways, cleaned up, wossners, VM34's with UFO's, Jims CDI.........squish heads coming, then maybe a zeel)

Why ?.........because they are shorter ?........obviously the cone angles have a lot to do with it also

So what is the best available pipes to run\buy on slightly modded street bike........I would like to get some with the upswept baffles.........I suppose good mid range would be the way to go mainly..........how often can you hit 9000RPM with the Police everywhere

And what about the K2TEC crossover pipes ?..........are they supposed to be equal length or just cool looking ?

THX Phil

Hi.

Not many upswept baffle pipes available as far as I know. If Denco where made that way, that could be a very good choice for overall power. If mid range is what you are looking for, and not so much peak power, you may choose Higgspeeed.

I have Jollymoto if you like the ones with upswept cans, and they produce a hell of a lot power at kind a low peak power rpm. And they have good ground clearance. JimLomas are also a good choice, but I have not tied them. Same with K2tec tapered pipes.

My choice when looks, mid range power and price tah are considerd amongst the upswept pipes made today: www.higgspeed.com

If power, ground clearance and cans and WOW-factor is the key: Jollymoto

The fast by Gast pipes in the picture are the old style . They make a shorter pipe with larger silencers than Denco or Wirges . I'll post some pics of them or go on their web site and look at them.I was told they work much better than the old ones . We'll have to see ! :D
