I tried the inexpensive replacements for my car and KDX200.
They are terrible and weren't as bright as an incandescent equivalent.
The Superbright bulbs are know to last a long time and be bright.
If you are running a license plate, they have a bulb that has white LED's for the tag and red for running and brake lights.

Agreed that some/all really cheap ones are not worth the money. I bought a couple eBay ones and tried them. They were red LEDs for stop/tail. After they warmed up for a while, LEDs started going out. The seller took them back and refunded me. I'm sure not all Chinese LED bulbs are bad, but unless you know which Chinese manufacturer supplies Superbright LEDs, you're gambling.

I had the same problem. I went to Auto Zone several years ago and bought 1157 LED bulbs and they work like a champ.
