I have spent time on google, here, and looking through the manual and cannot find a pic of fuel line routing from tank to carbs for a S3.

My bike did not come with a petcock. It came with a nozzle welded to the tank which ran to a weed-eater fuel shutoff valve. The line then ran to a 4-way connector and to the three carbs. Classic.

I bought a factory style petcock with 2 line outs and the vacuum port.

Should the 2 line outs merge with a Y connector then run to the carbs using T connectors? My thoughts were if one fuel out from the petcock was for reserve.

It seems like if they were supposed to go to the carbs individually from the petcock, there would be three fuel outs like on the pingel.

Thanks guys,
-Jeramy

S3 petcocks don't have a vacuum port.... three outlets that go to each carb.

+1 that is the right one.

By the way, Reproduction Decals has a repro that looks like the factory unit for $50 AND a non-factory looking one that is chrome plated for $40. So you have choices now. :D

that is the one I have. Assumed the one that isn't brass was for vacuum like on my xs. So it just runs to the first carb?

Jeramy -this is not a great picture of the fuel line routing, but you can see two point to the RH side of the bike and one points straight down. The yellow fuel lines are visible enough to tell you how I routed them.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking (after it was established that the non-brass port was still for fuel).
