As I age my eyes do not like driving/riding at night. I've upgrade my newer bikes to the best bulbs available to help me see better. Wondering if there is a solution for the S3 to give it better light in front? Suggestions?

Also wondering about the tail light bulb to make it brighter. Further suggestions?

I grabbed on to 220 while standing in a puddle as a kid. All forms of electronics are something I try to avoid.

It is true that the lighting on triples is weak. The S3 points system relies on a strong, fully charged battery to supply spark. Using a headlight that consumes too much power can load the charging system and make for an even weaker spark than stock.
However, by using LED lighting for all bulbs enough power can be saved to increase the extra power consumed by a higher wattage headlight. Stock headlight is 35 watts. If turn signals are fitted with LED bulbs it will require a different (electronic) flasher.

I am thinking about using this LED headlamp replacement from Truck-Lite http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&productId=92025

Very pricey but very bright and low power consumption:
Designed At:
12.8v, 1.80a (low beam), 3.60 amps (high beam)

It may be too large for the S3 bucket. (Drawing of the lamp with dimensions shown at link above.) I would probably use an aftermarket light bucket. Another product that is similar is Nighthawk from GE Lighting.

I haven't done this installation so I can not say what all the obstacles are, but I think it would be worth it for my tired eyes.

Nice price on the Halogen from Diablo - and bolt-in as well. Hmmm . . .

The halogen is better than stock - but not much.
