The hub on the H2 I am restoring was pretty grungy and I tried to get it back to the way it looked originally, shine wise anyway. I like the looks of the polished hubs but I wanted closer to original. After I cleaned it with soap and water I bead blasted the inner brake area and then sanded the shiny outside part with 600, used dry and then a light polish with OOOO steel wool. The inner area where the fins are I sanded with 400, used dry and then a light polish with the OOOO steel wool. It took almost four hours and I wtill have a little detail work to do but it's worth it, I like the way it's turning out.

This is the oxidation and spooge down in the finned area.

After the 400 and steel wool.
