That part was used on the '73 H2a to tie the main wiring loom to the frame (top left tube...while sitting on bike) directly under the seat.

I do not believe it was used on the '72, or later H2b/c bikes... Only in '73.

That's correct scrambler, It was used as said. I have a buddy who has made some of these with a copy of mine,they turned out great.
