Well, here we go. I’m going to start the restoration of my S2. Just got it started and running after a 23 year nap. It took it for a ride the other day. It ran really well. I’m running a gallon of premix to make sure the oil pump is functioning properly. I got back to the house and the head lamp assembly fell out of the bucket. The screws in back of the bucket vibrated out and let the head light assembly drop down to the front fender. It was still held up by the wires to the lamp. So, with that being said I’m wondering if there is a website that shows something like an exploded view of sections/parts of the bike with part numbers or maybe some of the bolt and screw sizes? I’ve looked on partzilla and they show some of the sizes but, not all of the screw sizes aren’t available through them and they don’t always give you the sizes.

The resource site has the factory parts manual under the heading "parts". http://www.kawatriple.com
It shows specs on some fasteners, but some just have part numbers.

I ordered a parts catalog for my bike. It’s probably the most useful tool I’ve bought for the restoration.
