I'm going to press on with what I've got and figure that the compression will get better when the new rings have a chance to seat. I can always play with the gaskets after the bike is running and I retest the compression. If you have to go over or under, I'll go with slightly lower compression for a start (not racing). A few more pieces to put in place to get her running. The next step is getting the new wiring harness installed. After that the bike is almost complete.

Actually, lower compression is good for max power with a 2-stroke.

and refitting jugs/rings/pistons will negate the break-in
