I got the bike a few weeks ago. So far I have removed most of the parts off the frame and started dealing with the engine. It has sat for 41 years with no attention. Fortunately the gas tank is in pretty good shape internally. Externally all the body parts will need a good paint job. The carbs took a bit of penetrating oil and gentle persuasion but are in good condition. Seat cover is still good, but the foam is well on it's way to powder. |

Whatever you do, don't install a carb rebuild kit! |

I will be most likely be installing one of Ivan's jetting kits. http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/h2.htm I have known Ivan since High School. I believe him to be one of the best tuners. He spends a great deal of time getting bikes running at their best. Unfortunately he moved from the area, so I will not be able to stop by his shop anymore. |

Fortunately I was able to get the pistons and cylinders removed. It took a lot of penetrating oil, time, and effort to get them off. The new Wiseco pistons and rings are off to the machine shop with the cylinders and heads. Cleaning up the engine and frame underway while I await their return. |

Yes, Ivan's jet kits are good. I don't put them in the category of all the horrible rebuild kits that are on the market. But why didn't you go with Wossner pistons? |

I didn't know that their price had gotten lower than Wossner. Do you know if they have solved the skirt collapse problems of past decades? |

Nope, same dismal stuff, and too much bore clearance. Wossner is the better product than Wiseco, by far. |
