Hello Forum Members,

What would you recommend on replacing wheel bearings?

After almost 50 years in there should they be replaced?

Even if the bearing seems in good shape, no play or slop in the bearing, would the grease in there still be good?

The only way to re-grease these old bearings it to pull/punch them out.

Since you have to punch them out on the inner sleeve does that make the bearing unusable? I've read some say yes and other's say no.

It's not too expensive to just put in new freshly greased bearings.

Just wondering what others have done in their restoration projects?

Thanks,

Ed
