I have a 5/8" master cylinder, I bought that with the thought that I would upgrade to two calipers somehow, and is partly the reason the stock caliper was bad news, I couldn't pull the lever hard enough to get much pad pressure. The HH pads DO work well, just don't bite as hard as I thought they might, and make some odd grinding noises when I push the bike around. I'll try these V pads and see. Next thing I will do is some holes or slots in the disc, and I might pocket the inner portion of unused disc real estate out to get some weight down.

I got the EBC V semi metallic pads today, they fit fine on the thick stock disc, I was thinking I might have to grind them thinner, but no. Went for a ride across town to a monthly vintage bike meet here in Indianapolis. I LIKE those pads a LOT better! They bite nice, great lever feel, no squawky metal noises, very nice. The twin Ninja 650 caliper setup seems perfect for this weight/ power bike. My only change will be this winter, to lighten the disc up some and machine the areas the new pads don't use, while i'm there will drill or slot the pad area.
So I am still playing jetting, I think now the mains are lean. It has 110 mains and after the midrange hard pull it sort of runs out of steam and gets louder mostly without making a ton more power. I have some 112.5 I will try when I receive the Viton float needle and seat sets in the mail.

The Viton tip needles and seats were really nice, are Mikuni parts and I didn't even have to change the float levels. But I still have fuel around the outside of the carbs above the bowls, no idea where it's coming from. The 112.5 main jets were the right way to go, really starting to scream and pulls harder to redline but I think it's still lean, so I will try some 115 in it.

The fuel leak problem is probably the bike leaning over too far on the side stand.

Thanks. I used new bowl gaskets and a fine flat file and carefully filed the bowl face high spots off to stop it this time, and it still does it, getting to be annoying, it does it until the fuel lines empty out each time. Will try again when I pull the bowls to add the bigger jets.

I made a lapping plate with a 1 1/4" hole to clear the brass nozzle to sand flat the bowls on my H1.
stuck some 400 emery paper to it.
worked like a charm
Just FYI Mark

Good idea, I'll do that this time, thank you.

I went to 115 main jets, it wasn't better, but ok, but am still jetting on the H1B/D intake rubber, so I decided to leave the 115 until I could get my version 3 3D printed intake done. So here it is in the pics. Is actually three exact same pipes with 3 UNI filters. As long as I could make them. Nice thing with it is that it looks stock with the battery cover in place. Was raining today so I didn't get a chance to ride it and see.

That's cool - very interested to hear the ride report!

Well the intake tubes were a good thing. They added midrange and top end power, and this showed at the end of the midrange, last part of the needle was rich, and the mains were slightly too, now both are about perfect, and I'm sticking with the 115 mains. The tubes also smoothed out the low end, I'd say cutaway to early needle area, and definitely got rid of a lot of partial throttle surging and bucking it had, much more pleasant to ride, 'almost' a civilized bike... if it wasn't for the grin inducing midrange and top end hit. The tubes also quietened down a lot of the low rev sucking sounds it made. It loves to rev, but I am trying to not cane the crap out of it, would kind of like it to have a decent engine life.... but it is really addictive to beat it some!
