I did this, went bigger on the two TM38 I have on my XV750, and it seemed like it was more than one clip, it got me back in the center of the needle again. I would like to at least have the clip on center of the needle, so you think I should go a couple of jet sizes?

Not sure of the number, but are the stock needle jets for the H2B, with the 8mm tall 'shroud' or whatever it is in the airstream.

I drew and 3D printed out the caliper mount parts, just for check fit purposes. The plate is like many use, different of course, but I am mounting two Ninja 650 calipers on the same disc. It uses two of the plates you see and then a CNC machined aluminium block between them to mount the rear caliper, behind the leg. The original disc is so thick and heavy that it can handle the extra heat without a problem I bet. The 650 calipers are good for this because they have same size pistons, not rotational sided like many others are.

Got the calipers mounted finally while I wait for a matching set of carb needle jets. This setup will be heavier than the single caliper but should stop as well or better than a twin disc, while being a lot lighter, on account of higher disc temps that should make the pads work better for lower temp street use. Still waiting on a double banjo bolt and I can bleed it all.

Well I got the new needle jets. Closest I could get was 171 P0, O6 is stock, these are two sizes larger than that, but needle jets sizes are like one notch of clip per size it looks like. I set the clips at mid position, swapped the idle jets for #40, went to 1.5 turns open on the idle air screws, went to 110 mains. Got the front brakes bled, has a nice lever feel, little more travel than I was after but it's good as is, has a 5/8" master cylinder on it. Did some short rides to bed the front brake and see how it throttles, seems close on the jetting for now, might be a tad lean on the needles so I will raise them a clip. Went for a longer ride on the freeway, the bike has amazing midrange torque, pulls harder at 80mph than it does at 60. Has a small front wheel vibration at 100, but is dead smooth other than that, pulls great at high speeds, and is decent to ride at slow speeds. It steers well, tracks good in slow or fast corners, gives good feedback and shows no sign of wiggle or chassis issues, will push it harder a little at a time to get used to it. Has the low speed surge/ bucking that is easily cured with throttle opening, and adds character to the bike I think......
We have the Motorcycles on Meridan bike event here this Saturday night, was held with the MotoGP race at Indy but is still here even though the bikes don't race. It's a huge event with maybe 12,000 bikes here, too many "dealer customized Harleys" in it, but still some cool bikes, I will ride it down there, guessing this might be the only H2 there, will see.

Congrats on getting it on the road. Sounds like you have it sorted for the most part. Can you post a short video, would love to hear your custom exhaust.

BTW - I'm getting close with mine, should be ready for start up in a couple weeks.

I'll take a video soon. The front brakes work well, but somehow I don't think the EBC HH pads work well on this mostly stainless disc so I bought semi metallic V pads for it, will see how those work this week. I need more ride time to decide which way to go with the jetting, right now I think the midrange is very close, might go a needle clip richer yet, and may try going back to the 107.5 main jets. I ordered some Viton tipped float needles and seats to stop the carb fuel weeping it has which is annoying. I have the 3D printed intake manifold done and will fit that when I pull the carbs to swap the float needles in a few days. This has equal length runners with bellmouths inside the manifold and I kept the runners as long as i could fit in the space I have. If it seems to make more power I might play with different designs with longer runners and filter placement. The filter on this one is back against the battery box.

Agreed, and one caliper should be plenty with a 1/2" master cylinder. Maybe your used pads have brake fluid on them or something like that. The first time I rode a triple with a stock disk, single EX caliper, 1/2" MC, and HH pads, I had to use one finger on the brake lever because I was used to my stock dual disk set up and I was chirping the front tire going into turns.
