This was my first Triple getting back into the "smoke" from way back in 2007, been sitting collecting dust since then, didn't "quite" sell to a fellow board member so at this point decided to start working on it to make it a rider sooner than later.

Though I've got all the EX brake parts to convert this, I decided to go the OEM dual disc route just because, and already purchased and/or received: caliper rebuild kits & dual hoses and lines from Amish John (I already have the correct splitter),

stainless pistons from hvccycle
Image,
those costly-when-added-up 4X caliper pin dust boots from z1enterprises,
Image
RH caliper bracket kit from Leon http://www.kawi2strokes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1082,
and I am going to try this all aluminum 5/8" m/c from mikesxs (It actually has the 5/8" raised mark on the underside of the body): http://www.mikesxs.net/product/08-6009.html

Hopefully the m/c works like the OEM Kaw equivalent that came with the dual disc kit. At $58.50 + shipping, it is alot cheaper than the original http://www.ebay.com/itm/171650246548 and a bit less than the repros from what I've seen available.

It doesn't look like it needs much - I love the patina.

It looks better in the pictures, but in person it's good enough for a rider as far as I'm concerned. I want to only focus on the mechanicals...speaking of which...VVVVVVV

"Ran when parked"... ;)
I'd rather not trust the crank seals or bearings Dave, so I was planning to come-a-knocking one day soon for a rebuilt, after I pull the motor and tear it down.

I like it, that's my favorite H1 paint job.

I'll never understand why they decided not to give the H1 the same tail section as the S1, S2 and H2 for 72, that would make it even better for me... :? They even had 2 chances, B and C.

Smoke quite a bit from RH exhaust...

That's kind of my plan for a KH500 frame I've got (with factory gussets), and I even have late H1 rear sets, and H2 pipes that appear to be Figarolli that tuck nicely under the bike that I'd like to mount up to this as well...somewhere down the line.
