I am grateful to get advice from someone with so much experience. You never know who you will meet on a forum.
I did get a call from my powder coater the other day. Went to pick up the frame and noticed a small area by the kickstand mount seemed a bit off. He said no problem, will strip and re-coat the entire frame and have it back to me early this coming week. He stands by his work and wants everything as perfect as I do.
Happy 4th to all.

THE best resources we here have are a mix, people and their real world experiences, and Dale's Resources Center Pages.

Got rolling again. Frame had a section that was a bit thin, so powder coater took it back to get it nice. There are always bumps in the road to slow things down. Picked the frame up again and put a few things on. Decal set also got lost in the mail. Hopefully the second shipment will make it.
It will get interesting now. When I originally got the bike it was not completely assembled. Some parts were in containers, and of course I will now find out what hardware was lost as I put things together.

Just remember to remove the powder coating on areas that contact aluminum and other metals that need to be grounded.

Always an important thing. Powder coating is a lot tougher than paint to remove.
As a retired electrician, poor connections have always been fun troubleshooting.

For small areas, I found the Dremel tool to work quite well

Slowly getting things together when time allows. Tailpiece was given a quick fitting to see some color on it, and back into my basement. I need to get decals on and clear coated again. The decals were ordered a while back. Gave seller plenty of time, but they never made it. No way to tell which side of the Atlantic they were lost on, but never arrived and dispute had to be lodged. I'll have to look into ordering some and waiting all over again.
I got notification that the Higgspeed exhaust is on the way.

Things are moving along. The cables and wiring are almost done.
Had a nice delivery this week. Popped on the Higgspeed for a quick look.
The body work and exhaust are put away while I get into the little details, testing electrics, adjusting cables, and setting the timing.
